Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington markets are quoted as follows: — Passion fruit, 8s to 23s 6d a half case; grapefruit, N.Z., 8s to 15s 9d a bushel case; oranges, N.Z„ 22s to 31s 6d a bushel case; lemons, Meyer, 10s to 17s 6d a half case; tree tomatoes, 8s to 14s 6d a half case; mandarins, 9s to 22s a half case. Tomatoes, h.h., 3s to 3s 9d a lb. cucumbers, 10s to 18s a dozen; green peas, Is 3d to Is 6d a lb.; asparagus, Is to Is 9d a bunch; pumpkins, Triumble, 25s to 40s a sack; Greys, 22s to 32s 6d a sack. Potatoes, 10s to 15s 6d a cwt.; potatoes, new, 4d to 5d a lb.; onions, 14s to 25s a cental bag; kumeras, 8s to 12s Gd a sugar bag; cabbage, 6s to 13s a sack; cauliflowers, 5s to 16s 6d a sack; lettffee, 3s to 15s 9d a case; cabbage, spring, 5s to 12s 3d a case. Spinach, 10s tq 25s a case; silver beet, 4s to 10s a case; leeks, 12s to 16s 6d a case; parsnips, 7s 6d to Ils 6d a case; swedes, 3s to 5s a case; beetroot, 12s to 20s a case; celery, Auckland choice, 18s to 28s 6d a case; carrots, 5s to 11s a case; rhubarb, 4s to 12s a dozen bunches.
