MOTOR FATALITY
WOMAN KILLED INSTANTLY RUN OVER BY TRUCK. ACCIDENT IN WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Caught behind a heavy motor-truck that was being backed into a cart dock at the fruit and vegetable markets while she was walking in Allen Street. Wellington, yesterday morning, Mrs C. E. Adams, wife of Dr Adams, former Government Astronomer, was run over and killed instantly. The accident happened shortly before noon. Mrs Adams was aged 72. She had lived in Wellington for about 40 years. Before her marriage to Dr Adams in 1896 she was Miss Eleanor Robina Jacobson, a daughter of Mr Howard Charles Jacobson. There are three sons and three daughters, Messrs D. Adams, H. Adams and W. Adams, all of Wellington, and Misses Marjorie and Maisie Adams, both of Wellington, and Mrs David St Clair, United States. «
