The Polish General Anders stated in Moscow that the first Polish Division in Russia was already fully armed and equipped. Russia was giving every assistance in bringing together and organising Polish soldiers scattered throughout Russia. The general declared: “Germany is the common enemy of both nations. We are fighting to liberate our Fatherland. The army includes Catholics. Jews, and members of the Greek Orthodox Church. The morale and discipline are excellent, and an average of a thousand men are joining daily. An officers’ school and a tank school have been established.”
