NAZIS OUTWITTED
SUBTLETIES IN FRENCH PAPERS. French newspapers contain subtleties that escape the stodgy Teutonic mind. The German temporary mastersmiss what the quicker minded French relish. A recent article in a French newspaper praised the extraordinary skill of the German flyers who skim the roofs of Paris. “Over England they fly even lower,” was the added comment! “When German planes fly over London,” another article said, “all business comes to a standstill. The longlines of vehicles stop.” To readers who in Paris see no vehicles at all, this is an intimation that all is well with us in England.
