Frost in Masterton.

A frost of 6.1 degrees was registered this morning in Masterton. Drivers’ Licences. The Masterton Borough Council issued 37 drivers’ licences last month, making the total issued to date 2117. Severe head injuries, which later proved fatal, were received by an elderly man when he fell down a flight of 30 stairs at the entrance to a billiard saloon in Auckland yesterday. The victim was Mr Richard Woods, war pensioner, of St. Paul Street. He was taken to the hospital but died a few minutes after admission.
