The “Wall Street Journal"’ says sellers of luxury goods are doing a fabulous business, mostly in costly furs, the finest diamonds, vintage champagne, silk cravats and other expensive goods, which are booming* across retail counters at a rate not seen since 1929. There is some buying because of higher taxes ahead. Some are buying in spite of this, but some buying denotes high living and feverish spending, with traditional potent inflation.
