NAZI TERRORISM

STATE OF EMERGENCY IN BOHEMIA PREMIER TO BE CHARGED WITH TREASON. VON NEURATH REPLACED. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON. September 28. The Premier of Bohemia and Moravia, has been arrested by the new Nazi Protector, Herr Heydrick, who has proclaimed a state of civil emergency. It is stated that the Premier will be charged with high treason and will be tried in due course. This action, it is stated, has been taken because of the activities of an irresponsible section of the community in the pay of the enemy. There will be no appeal against sentences passed and the sentences will be carried out immediately. Cases will be tried by court-martial. An earlier Press Association cablegram reported an announcement in Berlin that Baron ven Neurath at his own request has been temporarily relieved of the position of Protector of Bohemia and Moravia because of illness. He will be succeeded by Herr Reinhard Heydrich, the German security chief.

“The Times" Czechoslovakian correspondent states that military authorities in Berlin are inquiring into the cause of repeated train accidents in Czechosolovakia. Most of them occur between the industrial areas of Austria and the war zones of Russia. Troop trains and goods trains keep colliding. The goods arrive damaged. Distances of 300 miles, normally covered in three days, are taking over a month.

Production at the Skoda Works dropped 40 per. cent in August and fires broke out there.
