MILLION MEN
DEMANDED BY GERMANY FROM “ALLIES” FOR THE RUSSIAN FRONT. ITALY TO PROVIDE 500,000. (Received This Day, 12.50 p.m.) LONDON, September 26. Well-informed sources in Ankara state that Germany is applying pressure on her “allies” to provide one million men for the Russian fighting. It is stated that Hitler is demanding 1100,000 men from Rumania, 150,000 ; from Hungary, 100,000 froin Slovakia, 150,000 from Bulgaria and 500,000 from Italy.
