“ALGIERS.” The thrilling and outstanding picture. “Algiers," will be finally shown tonight. “LADY HAMILTON.’ The screen version of the life ol Lady Hamilton not only unfolds a stirring and unforgettable love story a°ainst a background of immense spectacle,’but it also portrays the critical years when Lord Nelson saved the British Isles from invasion. It draws provocative parallels between those critical vears and the present position of the British Isles. The picture, which will be shown at the State Theatre tomorrow night, has been desci ibed as a glittering tapestry of historical romance. The gathering of the necessary information for the production was one of the biggest jobs of research in the history of Hollywood. Libraries and museums of America, England and Italy were ransacked. The story concerns the spectacular career of Emma Hart, the daughter of a blacksmith who became Lady Emma Hamilton, wife of Sir William Hamilton, and her romance with Lord Nelson, England’s greatest naval hero. The story opens hi Naples where Lady Hamilton uses her influence with the Queen of Naples and the British Minister to obtain the services required by Nelson lor the historical battles that followed. Vivien Leigh portrays Lady Hamilton and Laurence Olivier takes the roll ol Lord Nelson. Alan Mowbray is oir William Hamilton ; Gladys Cooper is Lady Nelson, and Henry Wilcoxon is Captain Hardy. __________
