Support for Medical Bill.
Support for the Social Security Amendment Bill was given by the Palmerston North branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. A resolution recording its attitude, stated inter alia, “The health of the people is paramount and must be quite apart from financial considerations. Free education in this country has produced many doctors, which fact implies a responsibility on the medical profession to the State.”
