NATIONAL COMMITTEE SET UP IN LONDON. ANNOUNCEMENT BY GENERAL DE GAULLE. LONDON, September 23. General de Gaulle, Free French leader, announces the setting up in London of a French National Committee. It will act as trustees for the French people until it hands over to a constitutionally representative government. The committee will consist, of eight or nine members.
