SALE OF SHEEPSKINS
INVESTIGATING COMMITTEE SET UP. PERSONNEL ANNOUNCED BY MINISTER. (3v —Press Association.) ? WELLINGTON, This Day. The Minister of Agriculture (Mi Barclay) referred today to his recent announcement concerning the setting up of a committee to investigate the present method of apprisal, packing, fellmongering and sale of .woolly sheepskins. The Minister said the personnel of the committee selected was as follows: Messrs H. M. Christie (chairman), representing the Government; R. C. Burgess, sheepskins controller; J. Fraser, manager of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, representing producers (nominated by the Moat Board and Wool Council Electoral Committee); H. F. Carter, representing the Master Butchers’ Association (selected by the association); F. D. Burnett, representing the Wool Brokers’ Association (selected by *ihe association). Mr Barclay added that members of the committee met him yesterday for a preliminary discussion as to the order of reference for the inquiry and the committee had now commenced its deliberations.
