VERY FINE GIFT
FUNDS FOR AMBULANCE. RECEIVED FROM VICTORIAN WOOLLEN FIRM. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) stated today that funds totalling £650 had been received from inc directors and staff of the Centenary Woollen Mills, Melbourne, for the purpose of providing a fully-equipped ambulance for the use of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. . Mr Fraser stated that this gift had been actuated by the War Weapons appeal made recently in Now Zealand and the funds had been subscribed, partly by the directors of the firm and partly by the firm’s social club. A branch of this firm trades in New Zealand under the name of Korina Mills, Ltd., Auckland, and both the parent, company and the local branch have been largely concerned in the production of war material. This very line gift, added Mr Fraser, has been gratefully accepted by the Now Zealand Government.
