FASCIST RIOTING
IN ISLE OF MAN CAMP. OFFICIAL WARNING GIVEN. (By Telegraph—-Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, September 22. Following the Fascist rioting in the internment camp on the Isle of Man, the Under-Secretary to the Home Office, Mr Osbert Peake, arrived at Peel by air last night and proceeded to the camp. Fascists jeered immediately he tried to speak, and one shouted, “He’s a Jew. Don’t listen to him!” Mr Peake raised his arm for silence, whereupon there were shouts, “That's right, salute.” A chorus of cries, “Mosley!" followed. Mr Peake succeeded in speaking and he briefly appealed for order in the internees’ own interests, after which there was a quiet night. Another message states that the Fascists threw three stones at Mr Peake, but he was not hit. They also shouted, “We British behind the wires warn' justice.” It is understood that the Fascists will be made to pay for the damage done during the riot.
