BAKED BANANA PUDDING. Line a buttered pie dish with slices of stale cake. Over this place a layer of sliced bananas. Make a custard with 1 pint milk. 2 eggs, 1 dessertspoon cornflour or custard powder, and 3 tablespoons sugar. Pour a little over the bananas, then another layer of cake and bananas. Continue until dish .is full, finishing with custard. Cover with buttered paper and bake in a moderate oven for | hour. Sprinkle with icing sugar, place under griller for a few minutes to brown sugar. Serve hot or cold, but it is much nicer cold.
