Air Vice-Marshal Johnson, in a broadcast, said a chain of modern aerodromes is taking shape in the wilderness of the Canadian North West, for the joint use of United States and Canadian forces so that, in the event of a Pacific attack, fighter squadrons may be moved to northern British Columbia or Alaska without delay.
