NEW TILING

MANUFACTURED FROM WOOD. TORONTO. From the forests of Canada comes a new simulated tiling which is hold to be the answer to the modern home owner’s prayers. This new product, now being manufactured in Toronto, has as its main constituent tempered press wood made of oil treated steamburst wood fibre and moulded into stone-hard boards under terrific pressure. The boards used are from oneeighth to one-quarter of an inch thick and from three by four feet square to four by eight feet. *The strength of the new tiling is remarkable. Even when struck with a steel hammer, there is no ill effect —the enamel' does not chip, the pressed wood remains uncracked, and no hammer marks are in evinence. Soaking in water does not harm it, as the wood does not swell, and the enamel remains as hard and smooth as before.
