MARTON MEETING CHIEF EVENT TO TRENCH LAW. SCREEN STAR ACCOUNTS FOR SPRINT. (By 'Teleeranh—Press Association.) MARTON. September 21. Held in fine weather, the spring meeting of the Marton Jockey Club on Saturday provided good racing for a large crowd. Trainer T. R. George had another good day with three winners, and W. Broughton also rode three winners, but following a protest in the last race, his third winner, Salvatidh, who had dead-heated with Imperium. was relegated to third place, Caroline Bay, who had finished third, being put in Salvation’s place. No action was taken against Broughton, nor was any action taken in inquiries into interference to Hagen by Raana in the hurdle race, and to Windsor Chief by Meamea in the Marton Handicap. the trouble being held to be accidental.
