OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
STATE MEDICAL SERVICE (To the Editor) Sir,—The letter over Dr Parr’s signature in your issue of Wednesday last only came to my notice on my return from Wellington, where I had been attending the annual conference of the Free Kindergarten Associations. I wish to assure Dr Parr that I had no intention of suggesting that he approved the Government’s health service proposals, nor do I think anyone at the meeting would get that impression. I did say, however, that -he favoured the Russian scheme, because it was on a salaried medical service basis. I would suggest further to Dr Parr that if, as he says, it is not his wish to enter into political arguments, he should not, even by implication, suggest that someone has indulged in political trickery.—l am. etc., DORIS ROBERTSON. Masterton, September 22.
