Fine weather prevailed for the Wellington Trotting Club's meeting on Saturday. The track was on the slow side. The totalisator handled £39,475, an increase of £1997 over the corresponding day of last season. Results: Nai Nai Handicap, 3.44 class; one mile and a half: 3/4 Mavis Nelson, scr (O. Hooper) 1; 5/3 Vera Worthy, scr (J. A. Gerrard) 2; 8/8 Worthy Audubon, scr (J. V. Dyke) 3. Also started: 7/7 Paying Guest, 6/6 Highrate, 2/2 Alvis, 1/1 Suspense, 4/5 Inquisition. Two lengths; three-quarters. Alvis was fourth. Time, 3.43 3-5.
