“THREE CHEERS FOR THE IRISH.”
The Cosy Theatre’s feature attraction is "Three Cheers For The Irish,” a warm-hearted, captivating story of the ups and downs in the lives of a typical Irish-American family. Heading the cast are Priscilla Lane, Thomas Mitchell, Dennis Morgan and Alan Hale. “Three Cheers For The Irish” is a rollicking comedy of a retired New York policeman who is persuaded to run for Aiderman and learn (hat pounding a city beat is a much simpler task. Peter Casey, played by Thomas Mitchell, is assisted in his election campaign by his three daughters who jump into the campaign with all the beauty they can muster. It will be shown tonight. The efforts of a humane police officer. determined, to segregate first offenders from the hardened criminal, is the theme of “Fugitive From A Prison Camp,” starring Jack Holt, which is the associate feature. Holt, as a twofisted sheriff, arrests a gang of young criminals, headed by Jack Laßue.
