BRILLIANT AURORA
SEEN IN EUROPEAN NORTHERN SKY. ALMOST LIKE DAYLIGHT. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, .1.50 p.m.) LONDON. September 19. The Aurora Borealis, synchronising with magnetic storms on the sun which have disrupted communications, defeated the blackout in England on the night of September 18. Brilliant displays set the northern sky aglow, almost like daylight. According to brief reports received from overseas, some people thought the end of the world had come.
