Senator Wheeler was pelted with bad eggs when he defended Lindbergh at an America First rally at Billings. Mr Wheeler said some bloodthirsty warmongers, who demand that America fight all over the world for individual freedom, deny free speech to Lindbergh in the United States. Boos and catcalls greeted this statement and rotten eggs were thrown at Mr Wheeler’s head.
