LABOUR CAUCUS
PREMIER CONGRATULATED ON WORK DURING MISSION ABROAD. MR NASH ALSO THANKED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. To enable the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, to give an account of his journeying overseas a full caucus of the Parliamentary Labour Party, including members of the House of Representatives and the Legislative Council was held yesterday morning. It was later announced that the following resolutions had been adopted: — (a) “That this caucus of the Parliamentary Labour Party extends a hearty welcome to its leader the Prime Minister, congratulates him on his magnificent work in the Middle East, the United Kingdom and the United States, and affirms its determination under his leadership to carry on the work of the party and the Dominion till victory is achieved and the present conflict resolved in the triumph of the peoples in the democratic countries of the world.” (b) “The caucus expresses its appreciation of the work of Mr Nash as acting-leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party during the absence of the Prime Minister.”
