RAID ON CAIRO
THIRTY-NINE PERSONS KILLED AND NINETY-THREE WOUNDED. ANTI-AIRCRAFT DEFENCES IN ACTION. LONDON, September 16. Early this morning the Cairo area had its most serious air raid so far. Thirty-nine were killed and 93 wounded. Slight damage was done to property. The city’s anti-aircraft defences were in action against the raiders.
