BUTTER FOR OVERSEAS

PROCEDURE FOR SENDING GIFTS Mr C. C. Van Praagh, secretary of the Masterton Co-operative Dairy Company, has received numerous enquiries concerning the conditions under which butter can be sent from residents to friends and relatives in England. Mr Van Praagh states that the procedure to be adopted is for the donor to send 'down to the Internal Marketing Division the full name and address of the intended recipient, together with the sender’s own name and address and inform them how much butter it is desired to send, and enclosing the necessary money. The butter is despatched in vacuum one pound tins and the cost is 3s lOd per lb. There is a limit of 41bs. on the amount to be sent to any one person.
