HOME GUARD
MASTERTON BATTALION CLASSES & PARADES. NEXT WEEK’S ROUTINE ORDERS. Routine orders for the Masterton Battalion of the Home Guard for next week are: — Classes. —Officers: Tuesday. September 16 at Municipal Hall at 7.30 p.m. Capt. Selby on co-ordination, necessary for moving troops by mechanised transport. N.C.O.'s: Tuesday, September 16 at Municipal Hall at 7.0 p.m. Lieut Wood on messages and reports. N.C.O.’s are specially requested to bring note book and pencil. P.T.: Tuesday, September 16. at College Assembly Hall at 7.0 p.m. Signallers: Parades as arranged by signal officer. Ambulance: Will parade Thursday, Septem-. ber 18, at St. John’s Rooms, at 7.0 p.m. Parades. —A Company at Drill Hall, and C Company at Municipal Hall, Thursday, September 18. at 7.0 p.m. Other units as arranged by unit commanders. (Special note: There will be no half day parade of A and C and Headquarters companies next Sunday.) Miniature range practice, Rifle Platoon: D Company commander will supply a detail of approximately 40 men to parade at Malmo’s Garage. Chapel Street. Thursday, September 18 at 7.15 p.m. Rifle Platoon will make arrangements and supervise. Parade states. —Company and country unit commanders are reminded of the necessity to forward these returns to battalion headquarters promptly. Transfers, promotions and appointments: Sgt. Adams relinquishes appointment as Platoon Sergeant, No. 10 Platoon, owing to ill health. Cpl. D. Hunn to be Platoon. Sergeant No. 10 Platoon. Marched in: Two recruits.
