CONSIDERATION OF ESTIMATES. PROMISE TO RACING CLUBS.’ (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The House of Representatives gave further consideration to the estimates this morning, discussing the Department of Internal Affairs vote of £496,500. Mr Doidge asked if the Minister of Lands. Mr Langstone, who was in the United States, was coming back soon. The Minister of Internal Affairs. Mr Parry, said members should not worry about Mr Langstone. He was doing a good job in the United States. Replying to a query about racing permits, Mr Parry said racing had been reduced owing to the war but he had given an undertaking to clubs whose permits had not been used that they would not be allocated to other clubs but be held in trust. _ The House was considering the Social Security Department vote of £5,670 947 and the Social Security Fund vote of £3,605,910 at the adjournment at 1 p.m.
