PETROL IN AMERICA
NO SHORTAGE ON EAST COAST. SENATE COMMITTEE’S FINDING. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.20 p.m.) ' WASHINGTON, September 11. A special Senate investigation committee reported that it found no actual shortage of gasoline and other petroleum products on the East Coast. It recommended the immediate removal of restrictions. The committe accused the Secretary of the Interior, Mr Harold L. Ickes, Defence Petroleum Coordinator, with creating unnecessary alarm.
