AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION
MEETING OF WAIRARAPA EXECUTIVE. FACILITIES AT GREYTOWN CAMPING GROUND. ("Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Wairarapa Automobile Association was held in Greytown on Tuesday night, the President, Mr H. Lawson, presiding. The treasurer reported that receipts since last meeting were £66 Is 6d. The credit balance stood at £144 11s sd, plus £BOO in the Post Office, £5OO on fixed deposit, and £5OO Featherston Borough loan. Accounts amounting to £147 Ils 7d were passed. Thirty-six new members were elected. Applications were received from the Pahiatua E.P.S. and B Company, Carterton unit, each of whom asked for two of the torches so generously offered by the Association. —The requests were acceded to. The Wairarapa Gun Club wrote asking for the erection of a sign. “Gun Club Grounds,” on Norfolk Road corner. —Granted. It was resolved to subsidise the Grey town Borough Council towards converting facilities at the Greytown Camping Ground from gas to electricity to the extent of £4O.
