TRAINING CAMPS
THE CONCENTRATION PI.AN TRENTHAM NOT YET FULLY READY. SOME MEN GOING TO PAPAKURA & EURNHAM. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Minister of Defence, Mr F. Jones, stated today that, in connection with the recent announcement, that future reinforcement drafts for the Second N.Z.E.F. would be trained at Trentham, it has not been found possible within the time available to provide in the Trentham Military Camp the extra accommodation necessary to receive all the personnel of the next reinforcement draft, and that a portion of the draft will be trained in the mobilisation camps at Papakura and Burnham. Mr Jones added that infantry and Macri reinforcements from the Northern Military District will be trained at Papakura and infantry reinforcements from the Southern. Military District will be trained at Burnham.
