AMENDMENTS IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. September 4. To emphasise their growth and. prestige it has been decided that local A.R.P. services will be known in future as Civil Defence Warden’s Service, Defence Ambulance Service, Civil Defence Rescue Service, and so on. A device consisting of the letters C.D. under a crown and in gold colour? with the name of the town or country underneath if the local authority wishes, will be used on the new uniforms instead of the present letters A.R.P.
