MORE TANKS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT. BIG APPROPRIATION IN VIEW. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, September 4. The Under-Secretary for War, Mr Patterson, announced that he will shortly ask Congress for 1,600,000,000 dollars for more tanks and anti-tank and anti-aircraft equipment to enable the army to meet any conceivable adversary.
