COSY THEATRE

“BACK IN THE SADDLE.” At the Cosy Theatre tonight will be seen that favourite western star. Gene Autry, in a picture full of thrills, comedy and new songs. Once again he is supported by the big, funny man, Smiley Burnette, and that happy little singing star, Mary Lee. This new feature is "Back in the Saddle.” and should become a favourite. The associate feature is “Queen of the Yukon.” Aboard her river gambling boat, which transports the prospectors to their claims, Sadie Martin reigns as “Queen” of all the miners. Although the miners gamble on her boat, she sees that they do not lose more than they can afford, and gives them advice 'about their problems. Irene Rich makes a real contribution to good acting as the lovable feminist, Sadie Martin. She is teamed most successfully with Charles Bickford as the big, strong, out-of-doors Ace. June Carlson, as the ingenue, Helen, is delightfully demure. Opposite her, Dave O’Brien plays the young college-bred fellow, forced to shift for himself in the great north-west. Melvin Lang makes a villain, guaranteed to be hated, while George Cleveland as Grub, and Guy Usher as his pal, Stake, supply the comedy interest as two old miner friends of Sadie's.
