A communique from Cairo headquarters states: “The enemy carried out two air . bombings and one ma-chine-gun attack at Tobruk during the day. No damage is reported. Several fires were observed in an enemy position which are believed to have been caused by our bombers. “In the frontier area attempted lowflying machine-gunning attacks resulted in loss to the enemy and no damage or casualties to ourselves.”
