AIRMAN KILLED

ACCIDENT AT PAEKAKARIKI. PLANE STRIKES TARGET WIRE. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An airman pilot under training, Leading Aircraftman Arthur Louis Skinner, was killed at Paekakariki this morning, when an aircraft of the Royal New Zealand Air Force flew into a target towing -wire and spun into the sea during training operations. Aircraftman Skinner was born in Dunedin in 1914 and educated at the Woodville District High School and St. Patrick’s College, Silverstream. His next of kin is Mrs Mary Skinner, (wife), Dannevirke. A court of inquiry will be held.
