CANADIAN TROOPS
THOUSANDS MORE ARRIVE IN BRITAIN WITH GIRLS FOR TRANSPORT CORPS. SOME AMERICAN TECHNICIANS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) RUGBY, September 3. Thousands more Canadian soldiers have arrived in Britain. With them have come more American technicians for work in Britain, Canadian girls, recruited for the transport corps, and more American nurses, who are joining the field hospital. A message to Canadian troops from the Prime Minister of Canada, Mr Mackenzie King, was read at the ceremony of welcome.
