“OTHER PEOPLE’S LIVES.” MASTERTON LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY. A. A. Milne’s plays are deservedly popular and last night’s reading of “Other Peoples’ Lives” by the Masterton Little Theatre Society was no exception to the rule. The presentation was given in the Country Women’s club-room. Those taking part in the reading were: Arnold Waife, Mr J. Lawson; Lola Waite (his wife), Mrs E. K. Eastwood; Stephen Bellerby, Mr W. Holdgate; Meg Bellerby (his wife), Miss J. Yelverton; Mr Tilling, Mr H. H. Daniell; Sir John Hillary (an eminent surgeon, half-brother to Lola), Mr Cross; the Very Rev. Dr. James Hillary (halfbrother to,Lola), Mr M. M. Simpson; Clare Tilling (Mr and Mrs Tilling’s daughter), Miss Binnie; Mrs Tilling. Miss B. Francis; Gloria (Lola’s “daily girl”), Miss McLaren; stage directions, Miss Young. On September 17 the society will read “Tony Draws a Horse.”
