Miss Rosme Skeen, Auckland, is staying with her grandparents, Mr and Mrs R. J. King, Lansdowne. Mrs Lennox Lamb. Herbert Street, Masterton, is staying with Mrs J. Perry, New Plymouth. Miss Speedy, Seatoun, has been spending* a few days with Miss Beiliss, Pownall Street, Masterton. Mrs J. A. Nico], of Tuai, Waikaremoana, is the guest of Mrs E. E. Fowler, Essex Street, Masterton. Mr and Mrs E. M. Hodder and family, Second Street, Lansdowne, arc staying at Paraparaumu Beach. Mrs Gondin, Auckland, who visited Masterton last week, was the guest of Mrs Archer Hosking, Church Street. Mr and Mrs H. McLaren, Paraparaumu Beach, are spending a few days with Mr and Mrs A. H. Daniell, Albert Street, Masterton. The death has occurred of a wellknown Napier resident, Mrs Elizabeth Winifred Sweetapple. She was a devoted worker for the Roman Catholic Church and was closely associated with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She is survived by her husband and one son.
