RIVERSIDE CLUB GAMES PRESIDENT’S TROPHY. RESULTS OF SATURDAY’S PLAY. The fine weather which prevailed on Saturday afternoon was very much enjoyed by members of the Riverside Golf Club, and some good cards were handed in. In the third round of the president’s Trophy contest, play was keen and R. Callander, a new player this season, came in with 64 net. The next best were: A. McKenzie 65, M. Manson 66, F. Dwyer 67, R. Castles 69. A. Dixon. R. Bell, S. Herbert and C. Leigh 71. The winner of the President’s Trophy, which consists of three rounds, is A. Dixon, and Mrs Palamontain wins the ladies' section. The best ladiescards for the afternoon were: Mrs Palamontain 69, Mrs Clarke 72, Mrs Connell 73, Mrs Brown 78, Mrs Haughey 78. In the semi-final of the championship matches, R. Hatch beat W. J. Palamontain in the intermediate with a birdie 3 on the 18th, C. H. Dixon beat A. Dixon 4/3. Juniors: A. Carstens beat G. Rushton 5/3. L. Cross, who was 3 down and 6 to go, won the next five in a row, beating B. Braggins. Seniors: A. Bell beat R. Wearne, R. Bell beat J. Lulham. The finalists are as follow: — Seniors, A. Bell v R. Bell; intermediate, C. H. Dixon v R. Hatch; junior, A. Carstens v L. Cross. In the consolation handicap M. A. Rawlins beat D. Grimwood, F. Dwyer beat R. Simpson, M. A. Rawlins beat C. Leigh, A. McKenzie beat F. Dyer. Bobbin fourball: McKenzie and Wyatt beat Shearer and A. Donald, C. H. Dixon and D. Grimwood beat F. Dwyer and R. Bell, H. Keisenberg and G. Murdock beat E. Reid and R. Leatharn. Singles: M. Manson beat H. Wehipeihana, R. Bell beat R. Hatch, R. Leatham beat S. Burridge. The latter matches were also played on handicap. MASTERTON CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES.
