WITH BRITAIN AND SOVIET

Statement by Iranian Premier DENUNCIATION OF ALARMIST RUMOURS NO DANGER AND PLENTY OF FOOD (By Telegraph.—Press Association.--Copyright.) (Received This Day, Noon.) LONDON, August 31. The Teheran radio announced that the new Premier, Ali Furanghi, had issued a statement to the effect that Parliament expected a satisfactory conclusion of the talks with Britain and the Soviet. “Our discussions and actions have reached clearer stages,” he said. “Some concern is felt about the people’s state of mind. Many untrue rumours are current which I am sure have been spread by a dissident element. I assure Parliament that there is no danger for Teheran or the Government and that there is plenty of food.”
