COMBINED HUNT CLUBS MEETING AT NEW PLYMOUTH. STEEPLECHASE TO CHERRY PLUM (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH. August 30. Four favourites won on the concluding day of the combined Hunt Clubs’ race meeting today, including Alexcelia and Minority' who took the two open events on the flat. Cherry Plum, appreciating the firmer going, won the Taranaki Hunt Cup. an event which his owner, Mr G. D. Beatson. won in 1932 with Luna Lux. Following the running of the Hack Hurdles, the judicial committee suspended C. Eley, rider of Rollicker, for three months for interference with Stella Lux, the winner, approaching the last fence. Rollicker, on the rail, ran out and bumped Stella Lux, but he was a very tired horse after making the pace and was rolling about at the time.
