“HITLER’S LYING!”

EFFECTIVE INTERJECTION BY RADIO TRUTH DECLARED IN MIDST OF NAZI NEWS BULLETIN. PROMISE OF EARLY DAY OF RECKONING. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 29. “Wie so!” (the German equivalent of “Sez You!”), interjected the radio mystery voice when a Berlin announcer last night claimed that many British airfields had been bombed. As soon as the German announcer began to read a new bulletin, the voice greeted him with shouts of “Lies!” “New successes by the German and allied armies are reported,” said the announcer. “Hitler’s lying!” came the voice. Other interjections by the Voice were: “Hitler’s day of reckoning is near. You’ll have to pay for your crimes.” “Hitler, you won’t escape! The rope is ready for you.” “Hitler, your war is lost; the German will be free again.”
