PROTESTS MADE BY BOTH CHAMBERS AGAINST ORDER TO LEAVE VICHY. ADMIRAL DARLAN'S DENIAL. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association Cop., l ight (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) VICHY, August 27. The French Parliament, through M. Herriot, as President of the Chamber of Deputies, and M. Jeanne Ney. President of the Senate, has sent written protests to the Government against the order to leave Vichy. Both Chambers received from Admiral Darlan a denial that the Government intends to violate the constitution regarding Parliament or to repress Parliament.
