CLASS OF SPOUTING
RESERVED DECISION GIVEN. JUDGMENT AGAINST BOROUGH .COUNCIL. Reserved judgment was gwen in the Masterton Magistrate’s Court this morning by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., in a case in which the Masterton Borough Sanitary Inspector, Mr T. A. Russell proceeded against Commercial Properties, Ltd. and R. V. Mason on a charge of erecting spouting otherwise than in accordance with the borough by-laws, which required cast iron or copper spouting. Mr H. Mackenzie Douglas appeared for the Masterton Borough Council and Mr T. A. Cunningham for the defendants. 1
Mr Lawry declared that the by-law was invalid, as it was uncertain and unreasonable and the information was dismissed with 6gns. costs.
