Christ’s College beat Wanganui Collegiate School 9-3 in the final of the inter-college Rugby football tournament, played at Wellington College yesterday afternoon. Evenly matched both in the forwards and backs, the two teams provided several thousand spectators with a good exhibition of orthodox football, Christ's College winning the game because of a slightly more penetrating back line. Wellington College beat Nelson College by 15 points to nil. The Nelson . team was outclassed both in the forwards and backs.

The final of the Wellington Rugby League’s championship was played at Newtown Park on Saturday between Miramar and Petone South. For the winners tries were scored by B. Wood, R. Scott, and Bouzaid, Frank Fitzgerald (formerly captain of the Carterton seniors, who recently joined the league code) converting two. For Petone, Winiata and Hawkins each scored a try, Perkinson converting one and Hawkins kicking a penalty goal. The result was Miramar 13, Petone South 10. At the conclusion of the match, Crothers (for the Miramar team) received the Will Appleton Shield, the donor of the trophy making the presentation.
