CLASH OF CHAMPIONS FROM N.Z. AND AUSTRALIA. AT WARWICK FARM MEETING ON SATURDAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, August 25. The spring racing campaign in Sydney will start off auspiciously at next Saturday’s Warwick Farm meeting at Randwick with a clash of champions from both New Zealand and Australia, embracing the favourites for the Epsom and Metropolitan Handicaps and Caulfield Cup, High Caste, Lucrative and Kindergarten, and in' addition Beau Vite, Amiable and Dashing Cavalier, all of whom, with other prominent horses, are engaged in the Warwick Stakes, of seven furlongs. Newspaper turf writers are featuring the meeting of these notable horses, and are speculating whether track conditions will be. good. Much-need-ed rain began to fall at the end of last week. Showery conditions since have made the going heavy. A report from Melbourne today says that Gold Salute fell and injured a tendon at Flemington and may be unable to race for several weeks.
