AGAIN ACTIVE

, THEATRES IN LONDON. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.50 p.m.) . RUGBY, August 25. Not for many weeks has London heard the sound of air raid sirens and the theatres, which naturally suffered during the heavy raids on the capital last winter and in the early spring ,are now again flourishing. (At least one London theatre actually continued to play throughout, the height of last year’s blitz). When the International Ballet has opened at the Lyric Theatre on Tuesday, and Katayer and Tchekov plays have been shown on, two succeeding days, there will be no fewer than seventeen theatres active in London.
