SOME RESISTANCE

OFFERED TO BRITISH LANDING. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.7 a.m.) RUGBY, August 25. British and Indian troops are taking part in the advance into Iran and some resistance has been encountered. Although it is not known where our troops were resisted, the landing at Bandar Shahpur, at the head of the Persian Gulf, was opposed, but apparently was successful.
