HEAVY FINES
IMPOSED ON CHINESE IN WELLINGTON. FOLLOWING ON OPIUM DEN RAID. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Following on an opium den raid in Raining Street last night,, fines totalling £3OO were imposed on seven Chinese this morning, including one of £5O on Chan Yee, for permitting premises to be used for the smoking of opium.
